The Uintah Basin Youth Chamber Orchestra is wrapping up a very successful second season with their spring concert being held
tomorrow night
at the Vernal Middle School. Season 2 started off with new recruits and several months of practice leading up to their fall concert in November. Soon after, the group began preparing for an unbelievable opportunity, a music festival to be held in March at Abravanel Hall. In January, the youth had the thrill of welcoming Dr. Michael Palumbo for a clinic visit as a guest conductor. Dr. Palumbo is the Music Director and Conductor of Chamber Orchestra Ogden with decades of experience. In February, the group welcomed another guest conductor, Dr. Chau from the Utah Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra, for a clinic in preparation for the March festival. The highlight of Season 2 was of course the performing at Abravanel Hall in Salt Lake City on March 19th. With so many incredible learning experiences and many more hours of practice under their belts, the Uintah Basin Youth Chamber Orchestra is prepared to entertain and impress during
tomorrow night
’s concert
at 7:00pm
at the Vernal Middle School auditorium. Students are free. Tickets are $5 at the door.
