Uintah Basin Youth Chamber Orchestra Opening for BYU-I Concert

Local youth musicians have an amazing opportunity tonight as the opening act for a fantastic concert. Hosted by the Vernal Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, the Brigham Young University-Idaho Symphonic Band is playing a free concert for the entire community. Beyond the concert, some local families will also be hosting the band members in their homes. Then of course, to top off how much this is really a community effort, the opening act will be the Basin’s very own Uintah Basin Youth Chamber Orchestra. The youth orchestra will perform selections from Dvorak, Jenkins and a local composer Jill Boyd under the direction of Brad Vanfleet and Christopher Davis. The free concert is at the Vernal Middle School auditorium tonight,
Wednesday, April 17th at 7pm
.
