A talented young group of local musicians are prepared to impress once again in their first concert of this season
tomorrow night
at the Vernal Middle School. The Uintah Basin Youth Chamber Orchestra is an umbrella organization under the Uintah Basin Orchestra and Chorus and the musicians ranging in age from 9 to 19 are definitely following in their parent organization’s professional footsteps. “Our group has been rehearsing for this concert since September,” shares UBYCO Director Brad Vanfleet. “I can honestly say they are only getting better and better. While the music is getting more difficult it is also becoming that much more enjoyable for the kids.” While you might not recognize the names of the compositions the group will be playing

, Vanfleet says everyone can enjoy the music and recognize the tunes from favorite car commercials and famous movies. The

at the Vernal Middle School Auditorium. Tickets are $5 dollars at the door. Student admission is free.
