The CEO of Uintah Basin Healthcare provided an update on the UBH Vernal campus construction during last week’s Vernal Chamber luncheon. UBH CEO Jim Marshal shared that the primary goal of Uintah Basin Healthcare is to offer access to health care for locals so they don’t have to travel outside of the Uintah Basin for care. The Vernal construction is coming along. Included with the new facility will be the Uintah Basin Healthcare Vernal Dialysis Center, hopefully opening in July, which will be open 3 days a week and has 12 chairs. Marshal also shared that the new Vernal facility will include an Emergency Room, hopefully opening in August, as well as a state of the art lab that will provide MRI services.
