Local hospitals are feeling the strain of the surge of COVID-19 locally and Uintah Basin Healthcare is asking for the public’s help. Yes, they want everyone that can to get the vaccine, but also they need help in gathering oxygen tanks. “Every tank counts!” shares Uintah Basin Healthcare. “With the influx of oxygen needed with the COVID-19 pandemic, we are running into supply shortages.” Anyone that has an oxygen tank from Uintah Basin Healthcare that is no longer needed is asked to please return it. Uintah Basin Healthcare has also taken the time to clarify details on COVID-19 testing. Testing in Roosevelt requires an appointment, however, Duchesne County School District staff and students are not required to schedule. Insurance is billed for testing but if you are not insured, Uintah Basin Healthcare will bill the HRSA COVID Uninsured Program and there will be no cost to you. If anyone receives a bill for testing, contact the UBH Patient Financial Advocate by calling us at (435) 725-2060 and they will be happy to assist you.
