Uintah Basin Healthcare broke ground last Thursday on their Vernal campus expansion project. “We have achieved many milestones in the past ten years,” shared Uintah Basin Healthcare in a press release. “…Facility expansion has included opening new clinic space in Roosevelt and Vernal, an expanded ER, a respiratory and sleep center, and now plans to expand both our Roosevelt and Vernal campus to grow services basin-wide. Access to high quality healthcare, close to home, has always been a key focus. We are expanding our operations to ensure that access is not a barrier for anyone to receive the care they need. A significant portion of our patient base comes from Uintah County – therefore, we realize the importance of improving access by growing services in Vernal. Our Vernal Campus expansion will offer expanded physician office space and ancillary services.” Another exciting element of the expansion is that the Vernal Dialysis will move to it once complete. “This is an exciting time as community members will have more options, and more opportunities for quality care,” shares UBH President and CEO Jim Marshall. “We are led by our values of Respect, Integrity, Compassion and Excellence as we commit to understand the personal needs of our patients. We will continue to provide exceptional healthcare to our friends and our neighbors in Vernal and throughout the Basin. We often receive words of thanks from our patients. One patient from out of the area comments: “We were greeted with a smile and with care and concern. That is something that cannot be faked… we were treated like people, not just numbers; that is rare these days. Please don’t lose your small town charm”. Work on the Vernal Campus is now underway.
