Two Uintah High athletes represented the Basin well at the Nike Outdoor Nationals & USATF U20 Championships in Eugene, Oregon over the weekend. Uintah High Athletics announced that Treysen Colmenares finished his high school career at the championships with a new school record in the javelin. Treysen’s throw of 199 feet 1 inch passed up his previous school record of 198 feet 6 inches that he set at last year’s Nike Outdoor Nationals competition. He placed 9th at this year’s meet and is ranked Number 35 in the nation. Chloe Glines also finished her Uintah career at the Nike Outdoor Nationals over the weekend, finishing 17th in javelin with a throw of 130 feet 11 inches. Glines beat her previous school record mark in javelin when she won the 4A State Championship in May with a school record throw of 135 feet 3 inches. Well done to both Treysen Colmenares and Chloe Glines for representing the Basin so well!
