The Uintah Animal Control and Shelter Special Service District provided a report on Monday of their July services provided. Animal Control responded to 298 calls for service for July 2021. These statistics include impounds of 94 felines, 74 canines, 1 turtle and 1 bird. Of those, 41 were claimed, 15 were adopted from the shelter, 64 were released to 501c3 animal rescue groups, 8 died after impound, 14 were euthanized for aggression and some illness, and as of July 31st, 76 were still at the shelter. Livestock and urban livestock impounds for July were 4 goats, 1 of which went to auction and 3 were claimed. Of the remaining impounds from June, 5 went to auction and 4 were adopted.
