Uintah High School shared exciting news this month. Uintah High School’s Student Council has once again been recognized as a National Gold Council of Excellence and that’s not all. UHS is the only public school this year to earn the award for the third year in a row. “The student council at Uintah High just pulled off something extraordinary,” shares National Association of Secondary School Principals CEO Ronn Nozoe. “Their student-driven change has earned them national recognition as a National Gold Council of Excellence, proving that when young people are given the chance to lead, they turn their vision into real-world impact.” UHS Student Council advisor Blaire Martindale says this year’s student leaders worked well together to achieve their goals. “This year’s council is exceptional, not just in their individual talents, but in how they show up for one another and for this school,” shares Martindale. “We are more connected as a council this year and work seamlessly together to make UHS a better place. I am grateful for each of these students, and couldn’t be more proud of what they’ve achieved.”
