The Utah Department of Transportation provided an update on work underway on Highway 40: Starting July 26th, UDOT will be resurfacing Main Street in Vernal from 700 West to 500 East. This work will include painting, installing road messages and is expected to take up to four weeks to complete. Crews will work Monday through Friday, between 10:00pm and 6:00am. During construction, motorists should anticipate intermittent lane closures and lane shifts, temporary closures to business access, on-street parking limitations and moderate travel delays. Businesses and residents in the area should expect increased noise and vibration associated with construction.
