While construction was paused for winter, UDOT announced that work will resume this week on the U.S. 191 Indian Canyon projects, starting with installing conduit along the road shoulders. “Expect a one-lane flagging operation near milepost 255,” shares the announcement. “Crews are working on US-191 between Emma Park Road and US-6 installing conduit in the road shoulders for Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS) and fiber. Crews will be working south toward US-6. This work is expected to take approximately 3-4 weeks. In early April, crews will begin work near milepost 261 excavating the road shoulder to build a new chain-up area. As weather conditions continue to improve, we’ll start moving construction activities toward the Indian Canyon Summit.” Any questions about work in Indian Canyon can be directed to the project team at us191indiancanyon@utah.gov or 435-264-3448.
