If you’ve traveled Highway 40 in recent weeks you know delays are possible due to road construction in Duchesne County. The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is repaving a 1-mile section of U.S. Highway 40 near the Wasatch and Duchesne County line as well as a 7-mile section between Fruitland and SR-208. Work began the week of July 6th. “We will conduct roadway reconstruction near Red Creek Milepost 65, then mill the asphalt and pave US-40,” shares UDOT Region 3. “Following paving activities, we will reinstall barriers and guardrail and replace pavement markings and signage.” Work is anticipated to be completed by late November 2026.
