UDOT 2019 Construction Projects in the Uintah Basin

The 2019 UDOT construction list has projects planned for Daggett, Uintah, and Duchesne County. Daggett County work includes crews removing and replacing 10 miles of asphalt on SR-43 and a Dutch John chip seal project on US-191. In Duchesne County, UDOT will install erosion control measures to redirect the flow of the Duchesne River away from SR-35 at MP 54. They will also replace an aging bridge where SR-311 crosses the Strawberry River as well as repave a section of SR-311, remove and replace asphalt among other improvements on SR-87 from MP 15 to the Ioka Junction, and crews will construct a new pedestrian activated warning flasher on Highway 40 at the 200 East crosswalk in Roosevelt. In Uintah County, UDOT crews will remove and replace asphalt on 9 miles of Highway 40 from west Roosevelt to Gusher, resurface SR-88 from near Ouray to the Highway 40 junction, construct a new ‘High-Intensity Activated Crosswalk’ signal on Highway 40 between 200 and 250 East in Vernal, resurface a section of Highway 40 just north of Naples, and replace sections of damaged guardrail and barriers on a 7-mile stretch of Highway 191 north of Vernal. Projects will start this spring and continue throughout the summer.
