The second concert for the Uintah Basin Youth Chamber Orchestra is coming up but that is not the only exciting event this spring for the talented young group. In addition to the March 18th concert, the group is preparing to be featured in the Uintah Basin Orchestra and Chorus concert on April 8th where they will play
Pirates of the Caribbean
side by side with the UBOC performers. “They are very excited for this,” shares organization Director Brad Vanfleet. “It has given each of them something to look forward to and they can’t wait.” In preparation for the UBOC concert, the youth orchestra has added 9 youth wind and brass players making the group a total of 22 string players and 9 wind players. Combining the group with 49 UBOC members will make for an 80 person symphony during the
Pirates of the Caribbean
number on April 8th. The Uintah Basin Youth Chamber Orchestra concert on March 18th will also feature the Pirates number, as well as the John Rutter Suite for Strings and Samuel Barber’s Adagio for Strings.
