UBTech has received positive feedback on the Workforce Promise program from local employers. UBTech recently issued a press release reporting on the program that launched 2 years ago in 2024. The self-paced training is offered to UBTech students and focuses on strengthening workplace competencies such as communication, professionalism, teamwork, leadership, critical thinking, and adaptability. Completing training means the student can place their distinction as a Workforce Promise Graduate on their applications and resumes and employers report that it can make a difference. "I tell all my hiring managers to pay attention when they see Workforce Promise on a resume," shared Grant Barraclough, Chief Nursing/Clinical Officer from Ashley Regional Medical Center. "We've had employees and graduates complete Workforce Promise, and we've seen an impact on communication skills," said Shelly Ward, Service Operations Manager at Strata Networks.
