The Uintah Basin Orchestra and Chorus thrilled two crowds over the weekend with their spring concert, Classics of the Silver Screen. Two giant screens framed the stage, rolling clips from movies in which the piece being performed had been featured. The music itself achieved new heights as the organization continues to push itself and grow. “The music for this concert was incredibly difficult and so it required a lot more time and effort on our part,” shared UBOC Director Debbie Spafford. “We grew so much as a choir and orchestra because we played this music and sang this music. We are just excited that we continue to grow as an orchestra and chorus and become better and better and better and we hope that the community will continue to support us.” ‘Double Trouble’ from Harry Potter, ‘Hymn to the Fallen’, and ‘O Fortuna’ were among the crowd favorites.
