The UBATC welding program is gaining a reputation for churning out skilled students. Last year’s UBATC Student of the Year has taken home the national title in the welding world trials. Chandler Vincent is now the United States representative to compete in the World Welding competition in Abu Dhabi this fall. “He has been through many competitions and rounds to secure his spot and competed against the best in the nation,” shares UBATC representative Stephanie Carter. “He will also be traveling to other countries for other international competitions in preparation for Abu Dhabi.” Chandler is the first Utahn to compete as the welding representative on the world team since the competition’s inception in 1975. There’s no doubt he will represent the Basin amazingly well. Congratulations Chandler Vincent!
