TriCounty Health Warns of Scammers Posing as the Health Department

TriCounty Health Department is warning the public of a local scam. TriCounty Health announced Monday, “If you get a phone call from anyone saying they are [with the] “health department” asking for a $500 fee for complaints or your business will be shut down DO NOT PAY! THIS IS NOT TRICOUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT. TriCounty Health will NEVER call and ask for $500 for complaints. All fee interaction to businesses from TriCounty Health will be done by mail or in person. TriCounty Health will NOT threaten to close your business if you do not pay a $500 fine for complaints against your business.” Questions can be directed to TriCounty Health Department.
