TriCounty Health Warns Families Of Recalled Product Marketed To Children

TriCounty Health has warned the community, especially those with children, of a recalled
food product. The FDA issued a recall on brands Wanabana, Schnucks, and Weis of
Apple Cinnamon Fruit Puree and Cinnamon Apple Sauce. The FDA recall states that the
reason for the recall is elevated levels of lead within the product. These apple sauce
pouches were sold nationwide at multiple retailers. If you have any, you should
immediately discard them. TriCounty Health recommends checking with your
pediatrician about the next steps you should take if your child has consumed any of the
recalled products.
