TriCounty Health reported Monday that total COVID-19 confirmed positive cases in the tri-county area is 1,946, an increase of 90 since Friday, December 11th. There has been 12 deaths from COVID-19 to date locally and 113 hospitalizations. Total active cases in the tri-county area is 621. TriCounty Health also reminds the public that if you have been exposed to COVID-19, wait a minimum of 7 days to get a COVID-19 test, unless you are symptomatic. Waiting at least 7 days to test after exposure allows for more accurate results in testing. For those ill with COVID-19, seek medical attention if you experience trouble breathing, persistent pain or pressure in the chest, new confusion, inability to wake or stay awake, bluish lips or face.
