Uintah County Economic Development Director Travis Campbell recently visited the Evans Family Media studios for a discussion on the county’s projects and grants in 2024 and the county economic forecast for 2025. His interview is available to listen to in its entirety on BasinNow.com. Uintah County’s Grants Department stayed busy in 2024 applying for grants and administering the grants received. Right now Uintah County has about 40 grants being administered by that department which totals about $16 million dollars coming back to Uintah County in the form of state and federal grant dollars. Campbell emphasized that administering 40 grants is a big deal as each has rules to be followed so Uintah County is compliant in order to keep the grants already approved and to ensure they remain eligible for grants in the future. The interview also discusses the Uinta Railway project, trails, microgrant money available for local businesses, and facility use of the Uintah County Library, Conference Center, and Western Park.
