Trailer Explosion at ‘Glazed and Grilled’ in Vernal

There were no injuries in a trailer explosion outside a restaurant on Highway 40 in Vernal early Friday morning. According to Uintah County Fire Marshal Jeremy Raymond, Vernal Fire Department was paged at 12:19am Friday morning on a report of a trailer explosion at ‘Glazed and Grilled’. “Crews arrived to find a catering food trailer had some type of explosion and no residual fire,” shares Raymond. “Crews shut off the gas valves and cylinders and mitigated any ignition sources. No one was injured in the explosion and it caused approximately $250,000 dollars in damages.” The cause of the explosion is currently under investigation.
