It’s a very tragic end in the search for a vulnerable young man who was reported missing out of Sweetwater County early this week. The public was asked to watch for a missing young man who was classified as a vulnerable adult due to having Autism and a seizure disorder. The Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office and Green River Police Department announced their search to locate 20-year-old Alex Booth who had last been seen in Green River on Sunday afternoon. Anyone who may have seen Alex were urged to contact law enforcement immediately. Tragically, Alex was found deceased. KJZZ14 reported that a passerby discovered a body in the Green River near the Green River Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center on the west side of town. “Officials confirmed it was Booth about 30 minutes later. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding Booth’s death remains active.”
