Toddler Dies In Tragic Accident In Uintas

Investigators report that an incident in which a 2-year-old boy died over the weekend in the Uinta mountains was a tragic accident. Officials received the report of a missing toddler in the Manorlands area at approximately 10:15 on the morning of June 14th. Tragically, at approximately 11:15 a.m., a civilian in the area located the child unresponsive in a runoff or drainage channel. The child was transported to the hospital and was later pronounced deceased. “Preliminary investigation indicates the child had been with family, staying in a fifth-wheel camper trailer near a cabin in the Manorlands area. The child was found approximately one mile downstream from the family’s campsite,” shares investigators. “At this time, there is no indication that the incident is anything other than a tragic accident.”
