The Memorial holiday weekend kicked off the busy season at Dinosaur National Monument and the park has some tips to help make your next visit a success. When you get ready to show your America the Beautiful Pass at the entrance station, have your ID ready to hand over with it. Visiting the Quarry Exhibit Hall and the Quarry Visitor Center before 10 AM or after 2 PM is the best way to ensure you find a parking spot in the big lot and some room to spread out on the shuttle. Plan to hike before 2 PM or after 6 PM when temperatures are mellower. It will be too hot to leave pets in vehicles without water, shade, and air conditioning so plan to drive your own vehicle to the Quarry Exhibit Hall so that your pet is not left in the lower parking lot for an hour at a time.
