A search of a home in Duchesne resulted in the arrest of three men who are now facing drug charges. According to the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office, complaints from the public about possible drug activity at
175 West 400 South
prompted sheriff’s deputies to conduct extra patrols in the neighborhood. A search warrant for the house was obtained last week following a traffic stop in Duchesne, shares Lt. Monty Nay. A driver was stopped for running a stop sign and the officer could smell the odor of marijuana. K-9 Helix confirmed there were drugs inside the vehicle. The driver admitted to purchasing the drugs from the home of the suspected drug activity. While the search warrant application was in process, deputies watched the home where people from nearly a dozen vehicles arrived at the house, entered, exited quickly, then drove away – behavior often associated with the distribution of drugs. That night the Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team served the search warrant and found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in several rooms. They also seized three firearms. Three men were arrested. 19-year-old Anthony Wade Fouse is charged in 8th District Court with distribution of a controlled substance. 23-year-old Marcos Joseph Miller and 18-year-old Kenno Jacob Poulsen are each charged in Duchesne County Justice Court with possession of a controlled substance, a class B misdemeanor. Lt. Nay expressed his gratitude to the public who contacted deputies with their concerns about the suspicious activity at the house. “I’m also grateful for their patience while we worked to gather the information needed to obtain a search warrant,” shared Lt. Nay. “We truly appreciate the community’s support and their help.”
