There are just three chances left to see Outlaw Trail Theater’s production of ‘Oliver!’ at the Western Park Outdoor Amphitheater. Something special about a show with lots of orphans and pickpocket children is that parents and their children are sharing the acting experience together. “I’ve really enjoyed being able to do this show with my girls,” shares Rachel Wells, who plays Mrs. Corney. “They make it really fun and a little crazy! Pretending to be mean to all the kids is not my funniest part, but I love that they know it’s not real, and they are all good at pretending to be scared of me on stage.” Wells also points out that the cast is full of talented people and the process of putting together a show is amazing. “We have some incredible people here that love theatre,” she says. “There’s always so much support and encouragement for everyone, and I’m grateful for that. It seems like there is always a point during the rehearsal process of a show that feels like the production isn’t going to be ready in time for performances, and then suddenly things come together. It’s honestly a miraculous process to experience.” Don’t miss your chance to see ‘Oliver!’ at the Western Park Outdoor Amphitheater. Get tickets at www.outlawtrailtheater.org for tonight, tomorrow, or closing on Saturday.
