Three juveniles are facing first degree felony charges in Uintah County for a September incident in which they allegedly broke into a home and held multiple people hostage at gunpoint. According to a KSL report, the group, made up of a 15, 16, and 17 year old, entered the home of the 16-year-old’s ex-girlfriend on September 21st with the intent of robbing the girl. Two of the teens were allegedly armed with firearms and one had a knife. Others in the apartment were able to run out and scream for help, prompting neighbors to call 9-1-1. When police responded, the area was searched with K-9s. Two of the teens were booked into Split Mountain Youth Detention Center at that time. One of the victims received injuries from being pulled down stairs by her hair. The three juveniles were charged in 8th District Court with three counts of felony Aggravated Kidnapping and three counts of felony Aggravated Robbery.
