A 20-year-old Moffat County man has been charged after crashing his vehicle early Sunday morning while impaired. Dillon Burch was at the wheel of a Dodge Ram at 2:30am traveling on Moffat County Road 31 when the accident occurred. Colorado State Patrol reports that alcohol and speed are both considered contributors to the crash. Tragically, a 15-year-old female passenger was seriously injured and passed away at Memorial Regional Health. Burch is facing felony vehicular assault charges among others and he could eventually face charges for the death of the 15-year-old. Craig Daily Press reported that the local school district has crisis services available to the students affected by the 15-year-old’s death.
