A new place to disconnect from screens and get outdoors is now open to the public in the Roosevelt area. The Grand Opening for Teddy’s Playground was held on October 8th, welcoming the public to the site that includes a mountain bike trail and disc golf course that is now open for public use. Teddy’s Playground is located on 122-acres owned by Roosevelt City. The project has been in the works since 2023 and was spear-headed by the Roosevelt Arts, Parks, and Recreation Committee. It is located at 4900 West Bluebell Road and features the 18-hole desert-style disc golf course combined with a family-friendly mountain bike and desert trail. It is free to the public but note that the course is not cart-friendly.
