It was another exciting year of team work, solving puzzles, and pulling all-nighters for teams hunting for Outlaw’s Lost Treasure in Vernal over the weekend. This year there were 232 teams made up of 1,012 participants from 33 zipcodes covering multiple states. Team Mild Bunch was victorious in finding the key located in the Bigfoot alleyway not far from the hunt’s headquarters in downtown. This was the 3rd year competing for this team which was made up of one local and a group that comes each year from the Salt Lake City area. Team Kia Ora received 2nd place and Team District 1 received 3rd place. During the Hunt Recap/Solve Video on Sunday evening, event organizers discussed all the puzzles from the weekend’s adventure. They noted that many of the teams are now returning each year to compete and there were about the same number of teams but more participants this year than years past.
