The Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office reports that at around 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 21st, Sweetwater County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a shooting north of Rock Springs. “Deputies found an adult male with a gunshot wound. Medics transported him to a local hospital before airlifting him for further treatment.” Preliminary evidence suggests the shooting occurred inside a residence during a possible disturbance between family members but the investigation is ongoing. As of the Sheriff’s Office announcement, no arrests had been made and the identities of those involved and additional details were being withheld.
