A Green River, Wyoming woman has been charged with 2nd Degree Murder following the death of her husband. SweetwaterNow reports that 65-year-old Linda Malone is also charged with multiple counts of felony abuse of a vulnerable adult and is facing a minimum sentence of 20 years in prison. Court documents state that the full autopsy results will take more time but the initial report did not find any underlying health conditions or diseases that would have caused the death of John Malone while the alleged hitting of a bottle to his face could have caused the blunt force trauma and injuries to his brain resulting in death. Linda Malone had called authorities on September 9th to report that a man had been hit in the face. When asked, she told officers that she had hit him with a large, filled bottle of Baileys. When asked if she was trying to kill him, Malone said she was feeling overwhelmed and wanted to quiet him but not kill him. Her husband needed assistance at all times and was unable to move on his own. Malone said that it had been several days since she had given him his medications as well as food or drink. Her husband was flown to University of Utah Hospital where he eventually died.
