Several swearing in ceremonies took place on Monday around the Uintah Basin. Duchesne City welcomed Mayor Deborah Herron and city council members Marty Herrera and Mark Nielsen. Duchesne City shared photos of the ceremony along with the message stating, “We’re grateful for your service and excited for the future of our city under your leadership!” Vernal City also held their swearing in ceremony for new City Mayor Corey Foley and council members Ted Munford and Nick Porter. “The ceremony was well attended by many family members and friends, as well as members of the community,” shared Vernal City. “We wish them the best in their terms of service and look forward to the positive influence they will have on our city’s government.” The Roosevelt City swearing in ceremony for Mayor Tommy Olsen and council members Rowdy Cloward and Beau Hancock is on the agenda for tonight’s Roosevelt City Council meeting.
