According to the Craig Press, the Moffat County Board of Education met recently and voted unanimously to put Moffat County School District Superintendent Scott Pankow on paid administrative leave. The board had a special meeting and went into an executive session shortly after starting. This was the third time that the board had met to discuss the superintendent’s evaluation and after finishing the executive session it was discovered  the board voted 7-0 to place Pankow on paid administrative leave effective immediately. There has not been further explanation for the board’s decision. The board issued a statement, including the following: “Mr. Pankow has been our Superintendent during an extraordinarily challenging period for our school district. His first school year with the district was nearly derailed by the COVID-19 pandemic. He was also at the helm during a challenging and divisive capital bond campaign.”
