“The time to prepare is NOW.” This is the straight forward message of Uintah County Emergency Management shared on Monday. “Storms are in the forecast for this week that could bring heavy rain and possible flooding,” shares the announcement. “If you live in an area prone to flooding, or have had flooding in the past, please prepare now!” Sand and sandbags are available at several local hardware, home improvement, concrete supply, farm and ranch supply businesses. If you don’t know whether you’re in a flood plain or not, find the FEMA Flood Plain Map online and search your address.
