Store Footage Shows Employee Stealing Over Several Months

A Duchesne County woman’s habit of stealing from her place of employment caught up to her this month. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, video footage provided the evidence showing that an employee of Ute Petroleum in Myton had been stealing from the store for several months. The footage showed 23-year-old Raelee Allmon Potter leaving the store with soda, cigarettes, and vapes over a period of months. The estimated total for the stolen items came to over $1,600 dollars. Officers contacted Potter by phone and she came into the police station. Potter admitted to stealing, stating she did so to try and care for her daughter. She also specified that she had been stealing cigarettes, vapes, and tobacco. Potter was arrested and is charged with 3rd Degree Felony Theft.
