Stolen Uintah County Skid Steer Tracked To Texas; Arrest Made

Having GPS trackers installed on equipment paid off big time for the owner of a trailer and skid steer that were recently stolen in Uintah County. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, law enforcement was dispatched to a report of the stolen trailer and skid steer and the company was working to get the GPS location. The police department in Muleshoe Texas were contacted after the feed located the equipment. Officers in Texas made a stop on the vehicle and identified the driver as 43-year-old Joel Verrier who claimed that he had been hired to pick up the equipment but was unable to provide a company name or any paperwork. It was later discovered that within the vehicle, Verrier had 31 different ID cards for various people, including social security cards, passports, and other ID cards. There were also 51 titles for various vehicles, 24 hard drives, and 6 cell phones. Verrior was arrested on multiple charges, including possession of stolen property and an ICE detainer.
