Uintah High School represented very well at competition this month with three Uintah seniors being named Sterling Scholars for the Northeast Region and four being named runner-ups.
Spencer Day
was awarded the runner-up title for Region English Sterling Scholar. Spencer is the son of Nicholas and Cynthia Day. He is involved with the science and creative writing clubs as well as the theater department. He is a member of the National Honor Society and has published his first novel, Power of the Swords. Spencer plans to attend Brigham Young University, majoring in English.
