Stay Out Of Steinaker Service Canal Trail Construction Area

While it is exciting to see progress happening on the Steinaker Service Canal Trail in Vernal, officials have an important safety message for the community: STAY OUT of the construction area. “It’s exciting to see progress taking shape on the new trail, but it’s important to remember that the trail corridor is still an active construction zone and is not yet open to the public,” shares a Vernal City announcement. “Crews have begun clearing the area and placing road base in portions of the project, which may already look and feel like a usable trail. However, this is only one step in the construction process, and additional work is still underway.” The request is pretty straight forward. Please stay out of the construction area; do not walk, bike, or recreate along the unfinished trail; and please leave orange construction fencing and other safety barriers in place.
