Voices continue to extend their excitement about the Surface Transportation Board’s approval of the Uinta Basin Railway. “We’re thrilled that the Surface Transportation Board has approved a new rail line in Utah!” shared Governor Spencer Cox. “This will serve the economic interests of residents and businesses in Carbon, Duchesne, and Uintah Counties and all of Utah for years to come.” Upon hearing the news, Senator Mike Lee shared his congratulations to all in the Uinta Basin. “This project will bring thousands of jobs and decades of prosperity to this key part of our state,” stated Senator Lee. “Thank you to the 7-County Infrastructure Coalition, Rio Grande Pacific Corp, and DHIP Group for making this a reality. I look forward to seeing the development, people, and progress this railway will bring to the Basin.”
