The trickiest part of holiday cleanup is sometimes delivering the Christmas tree to its final resting place. Thankfully a group of youth are willing to help those who may have difficulty getting their tree to the mulch lot in Vernal City. The youth of the Day Skills program at Split Mountain Youth Center will pick up trees from Vernal City residents to deliver to the lot, shares program supervisor Mark Durrant. To be among the lucky ones served, call the Day Skills program at

between the hours of 7am to 9am on Wednesday the 27th or Thursday the 28th and the youth will be out picking up the trees on those two days. For those that don’t qualify, the Vernal City Christmas tree drop-off is located at the parking lot at 100 West and 100 North in Vernal City. There are two tree piles on the lot, one for regular trees and one for flocked trees. Be sure to remove all decorations. The used trees are composted for use in local parks. Trees will be accepted through the end of January.
