The documentary series Small Town Comeback has released its new episode, chronicling the creation of Utah’s first free public via ferrata. The episode is titled, ‘Utah’s Vertical Frontier: Building Ashley Gorge Via Ferrata’. “Set against the dramatic cliffs of Ashley National Forest, the episode follows the vision, planning, and construction behind this innovative vertical trail system,” shares the announcement. “A via ferrata is a protected climbing route equipped with steel cables, ladders, and fixed anchors, allowing adventurers of varying skill levels to safely experience steep, exposed terrain.
