A shooting incident took place on Yampa Avenue in Craig on Monday morning. According to Craig Police, a person was shot at while in a vehicle at the intersection of Yampa and 8th. The victim encountered 38-year-old Anthony Montano in another vehicle and Montano pulled a gun out and shot at the victim. The bullet hit the front fender of the vehicle. No one was injured and Montano was located within an hour and was arrested on charges including felon in possession of a weapon, unlawful discharge of a firearm, felony menacing, and possession of an illegal weapon. It is believed that Montano is in a relationship with the estranged wife of the victim.
