The ‘Hero K9’ organization made the announcement on Wednesday, sharing that they are pleased to announce Riddick as the recipient of the special vest and a Ranger K9 Trauma Kit. “Thanks to donations from the community which raised the $1,100 to fund a multi-threat vest and a Ranger K9 Trauma Kit, this equipment will be provided to the agency at no cost,” shares Hero K9, a 501(c)(3) that raises funds for K9 training and equipment. “The made-to-order multi-threat vest valued at $950, by Safariland in Jacksonville, FL and the Ranger K9 Trauma Kit valued at $150, by Hero K9, will be shipped directly to the department through Hero K9’s distributor…” K9 Riddick is a very deserving recipient. He is a 3 ½ year old German Shepherd certified in Patrol, Tracking/Trailing, and Narcotics.
