The Uintah Basin Chapter of the American Petroleum Institute met for their April meeting on Wednesday evening. During the evening’s discussion, Senator Ron Winterton offered a report on Highway 191 south of Duchesne. He shared that safety improvements are scheduled this year for the roadway in Indian Canyon with numerous passing lanes to be added. The UDOT improvements are being funded by money allocated from last year. A request for an additional $6.5 million dollars for improvements to Highway 191 is on the agenda for the upcoming UDOT board meeting scheduled for April 15th.
