A semi hauling water in Daggett County had a serious accident on Wednesday after leaving the roadway and traveling off a steep embankment. Utah Highway Patrol reports that the semi was traveling northbound on SR-44 near milepost 19 around 10:30am when it went off the left side of the road. “On a curve in the roadway, the semi rolled and slid through the guardrail and down a steep embankment,” shares UHP. “The semi traveled approximately 300'. The male driver was the sole occupant and was extracted from the cab. Life flight responded and transported him to the Salt Lake area.” No further details have been shared on the condition of the man or the cause of the crash.
