Search for New Vernal City Manager Continues

by | Apr 13, 2017 | News | 0 comments

The search for a new Vernal City Manager continues after the Vernal City Council reviewed and amended the job description. Some additions include the requirement that the city manager respond in a timely manner to specific requests of the City Council and Mayor pertaining to immediate needs and concerns in the community and that candidates with public administration experience may be given preference. They also amended some requirements. What previously stated that 5 years of experience in municipal management administration is required, was changed to remove the word ‘municipal’ and now just reads management administration. With the new job description in place, the job has been reopened, shares Vernal City Mayor Sonja Norton, and will remain open until the first part of May.
