SafeUT Crisis and Tipline Services Offered as Tool for Teens

The Uintah School District is one of many districts throughout the state utilizing a special App aimed at helping teens in crisis. The SafeUT program was developed using funding from the Utah State Legislature collaborating with the University Neuropsychiatric Institute, the Utah State Office of Education, the Utah Office of Attorney General, and the Utah Anti-Bullying Coalition. The service provides confidential two-way communication with crisis counselors and school staff through the SafeUT Mobile App or on the web. The CrisisLine is available 24/7 and provides support in any type of crisis. Students can call the line to talk directly to a counselor or chat through the app. SafeUT also welcomes non-crisis tips from teens on topics ranging from cyberbullying to drug and alcohol activity and all tips are kept completely anonymous.
