Vernal PD reports: On May 30, 2022 Vernal City Police Department took a report of a possible runaway juvenile. The juvenile in this case is 17 year old Sadie Hiner who was last seen in the Vernal area in the early morning hours of May27, 2022 by a family member. Through investigation it was found Sadie may have likely been transported to the Salt Lake area and it is currently unknown who she is staying with. If anybody comes into contact with Sadie or has information on her whereabouts we would urge you to contact either the Vernal City Police Department or your local law enforcement agency. Sadie is listed as a missing juvenile on the National Crime Information Center (NCIC). We would like to see Sadie returned to a safe and known location to ensure her well being. The Vernal City Police Department is issuing a reminder that it is indeed a crime to knowingly harbor a runaway juvenile under Utah State Statute 80-5-601.
